I'm liking the old comment system being partially renewed, but I'm unsure if it will make a difference. I guess the topics on the playground are more up for discussion than the main blog. This will surely be another great year in the distance world.
ReplyDeleteima try and start this up, lets hear some thoughts on early state leaders, how about top 50 for 1600 all 4:40 or faster already, and top 50 for 800 all 2:05 or faster? Kinda like how tight the top group of guys is looking. Most impressive performance of the year so far has gotta go to Fletcher, 4:21 in a 1v1 that early is crazy. Hoey's 1:54 is right up there though
ReplyDeleteKinda surprising the 3200 hasn't been faster. It's of course extremely early and there will be plenty of fast times to come, but no one under 9:40 yet is interesting. TFCAofGP is this weekend and they dont run the 3200 despite a lot of top tier competition going there.
DeleteNot anything I'd be too worried about, at least our top 3200 guys are getting some races in their legs, like Hock, Dahl, and Brophy. I'm sure a lot of these guys will wait to break out at Henderson. Plus, they ARE doing the 32 this weekend, first year. Should be interesting.
DeleteThis is a very interesting point. I kinda feel the same way. It is early, but I was expecting someone to pop off something maybe a little faster.
ReplyDeleteI put this in the NCAA section of what I think was a thread for indoor track: Today's Virginia Quad Meet will feature 4 PA All-Timers in the 800m in the same heat!: Drew Magaha, Jefferey Wiseman, Elias Graca, and Alek Sauer.
ReplyDeleteHere are the results, http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/va/sports/c-xctrack/auto_pdf/2015-16/box_score/stats_20160409aaa.pdf it seems like sauer has beat Graca in all of their college races. Anybody have the stats on that?
